Based on a study on contemporary rates and patterns of atheism published by Phil Zuckerman, Ph.D., an Associate Professor at Pitzer College, Hector, who writes on the Kirainet blog, created a chart of the top 50 non-religious countries. The top 15 non-religious countries include:
- Sweden (most non-religious country in the world);
- Vietnam;
- Denmark;
- Norway;
- Japan;
- Czech Republic;
- Finland;
- France;
- South Korea;
- Estonia;
- Germany;
- Russia;
- Hungary;
- Netherlands; and
- Britain.
